The Band
Zdiar is a collaboration between individual artists Brian Johnstone (based in Scotland) and Ralf Seidel (based in Germany). Both are keyboard players and tech geeks. so most of their music is made with computers, synths samplers and keyboard technology.
Brian had some ‘classical’ training and Ralf is self taught
Zdiar like to explore textures and soundscapes with new sounds combinations to help give them their signature ‘sound’ which is a thing that is continually evolving and developing.

Our Inspiration
The connection
Our songs are inspired by every day events and the light and shadow in human nature
We want our music to be engaging have emotional depth and meaning. We want to write good accessible music which is entertaining but also has some musical (and lyrical where we have vocals) substance and innovation and creativity.
In that sense they are quite progressive (in the truest sense of the word).
No LIMITS
We have no real limits or boundaries in our music and have no problem mixing it up if we feel it suits the song.
We like to try and innovate and entertain at the same time. We certainly don’t stick to any specific genre. We can’t handle the lack of freedom of expression.
We are not bound by the potential conflict of commercial interest. We create music for music’s sake…… because music
